You get one chance at a first impression. For the 400+ people released to Franklin County every year, an interview outfit is a real barrier — and an unnecessary one.
Second Chances opened a small boutique where returning citizens shop, free, with a volunteer stylist: a suit or professional outfit, shoes, a coat, and a breath of dignity before the hardest conversation of their lives.
This campaign funded the shop fit-out, six months of clothing stock in 20 sizes, and the referral partnership with three reentry programs. We hit our goal in the final week — thank you. The shop opened in March and dressed its first 42 clients. The ongoing story continues in the updates.
