Clean Water for Kasese: Solar-Powered Wells for 4 Villages

Clean Water for Kasese: Solar-Powered Wells for 4 Villages

In the hills above Kasese, women and girls walk up to six kilometres a day for water — water that often makes them sick. Four villages, 3,800 people, and not a single safe source.

This project drills and solar-pumps two deep wells, builds four 10,000-litre storage tanks with tap stands, and trains a local water committee in each village to maintain them. Solar power means no fuel costs and no breakdowns waiting on parts.

We have hydro-geological surveys done, a drilling contract signed at a fixed price, and the district water office has approved the sites. Every component of the budget is published in the campaign updates — pipe by pipe.

When the taps open, girls go back to school instead of walking for water. That is the whole plan, and your support builds all of it.
